Mobile Auto Detailing · Toronto & the GTA
Your Driveway Is Our Detailing Bay
Top Drive Detailing is fully mobile. The van comes to your house, your office parking spot or the marina lot, the shop-grade kit comes out of the back, and the vehicle you park at the end of the day is the one you wish you had bought. Here is exactly what happens between those two moments.
Mobile auto detailing is a full professional detail performed wherever your vehicle is already parked. At Top Drive Detailing that starts at $159 for an Express Exterior and $299 for an Express Full Detail, with the most-booked package — the Executive Full Detail — at $499. We serve Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area, we work on cars, trucks, SUVs, boats and RVs, and the booking is done online with a deposit rather than a callback.
We bring every piece of equipment: professional extractors, orbital polishers and steamers, the same gear a fixed detailing bay runs. What we need from the address is an outdoor water tap and a working electrical outlet within about 75 feet of the vehicle. You confirm both when you book, and headlight restoration is the one service that needs neither.

Which One Do I Actually Need?
Three sentences, one of them is yours. If none of them fit exactly, pick the nearest and let the technician tell you on arrival — nothing extra gets done without your say-so.
Express Full Detail. Hand wash, wheels, jambs, a real deep vacuum and a full cockpit wipe-down, inside and out in one visit. This is the maintenance detail — the one you book two or three times a year to stop the car ever getting bad.
Book Express Full → If… It hasn’t been properly done in a year or more $499Executive Full Detail. Everything above, plus the restoration layer: paint decontamination, clay bar, water spot removal and a ceramic sealant outside; hot steam, shampoo and extraction and salt stain removal inside. This is the one most people should book.
Book Executive Full → If… It needs everything, or you’re selling it $899The Ultimate Package. A full-day appointment with every add-on except biohazard removal included, the headliner steamed and extracted, and the seats lifted so the carpet underneath gets cleaned instead of vacuumed around.

What Actually Happens In Your Driveway
Most people have never watched a detail from start to finish, which is why the price of one is hard to judge. So here is the whole job, stage by stage — what gets done, why it is done in that order, and where the money goes.
The Van Arrives, And It Is The Shop
There is no unit to drop the vehicle at and no lobby to sit in. The van pulls up to the address you booked and everything a fixed detailing bay uses comes out of the back of it: a hot extractor for carpets and fabric, a steamer, dual-action orbital polishers, foam equipment, and the pads, towels and chemistry to go with them.
Two things come from the address rather than the van — an outdoor tap and a standard outlet, both within about 75 feet of where the vehicle sits. You tick those off when you book, so nobody discovers a problem on the day.
The Walkaround
Before a drop of water touches the paint, the technician walks the vehicle with you. Sap on the roof, a stone chip on the hood, road salt worked into the driver’s carpet, a wheel that has baked on two winters of brake dust — all of it gets noted out loud, so the plan for the next few hours is agreed rather than assumed.
This is also the honest part. A walkaround is visual and non-invasive, and dirt, snow and poor light hide defects; something that only becomes visible once the vehicle is clean was already there. If the paint needs more than a detail can give it, you are told now — not shown a surprise on the invoice.
Wheels First, Then Decontamination
Wheels are always first, because they are the filthiest thing on the vehicle and nobody wants that flung onto paint that has already been cleaned. Rims, barrels and wheel wells get a deep cleanse and every trace of iron and brake dust is pulled out, which is what makes a set of wheels look new rather than merely washed. Tyres are dressed and UV-protected at the end.
On the Executive tier and above, the paint then gets the same treatment. Decontamination strips embedded iron and tar, and a clay bar physically lifts rail dust and grit out of the pores of the clear coat. Run your hand over a bonnet before and after — the difference is the single most surprising thing in the whole appointment, and it is the reason a sealant applied afterwards actually bonds.
The Foam Soak And The Hand Wash
A pre-wash foam soak goes on the whole vehicle and is left to dwell. That is not theatre — the foam lifts grit off the surface and carries it down before anything physically touches the paint, which is precisely how swirl marks are avoided. Then it is rinsed and hand-washed with a premium shampoo, panel by panel.
The parts people notice afterwards are the ones a tunnel wash cannot reach: emblems, the gas cap, panel grooves, handles, mirrors, running boards and door jambs, all detailed by hand. Then the whole vehicle is hand dried, so there is no mineral-laden water left on the paint to bake into spots in the afternoon sun.
Inside The Cabin
The interior gets a true deep vacuum and then a full air blow-out of the cracks, crevices and seat rails a nozzle physically cannot reach — the dust does not come out of a car, it comes out of the gaps in one. Cockpit, doors, storage compartments, pedals, infotainment screen and cupholders are all cleaned and restored by hand, and the glass is done last so it stays clear.
On the Executive tier the fabric work starts: hot steam through the seats and mats, then a shampoo and extraction that pulls ground-in dirt back out of the fibres instead of pushing it deeper. In this city that matters most in March, when winter road salt has left chalky white stains working their way into the carpet — salt stain removal is included at that tier.
Protection, While The Surface Is Still Perfect
Protection only goes on at the end, and only onto a surface that has been decontaminated, because anything sealed over embedded grit simply locks the grit in. Executive packages include a ceramic sealant on the paint and trim protection; interior trim, seats and fabric can carry their own sealants and coatings too.
If you want years rather than months, that is a ceramic coating — a genuine chemical bond, three, five or eight years of UV and chemical resistance, and every tier includes a free Executive Exterior and a 1-step correction so the coating locks in a clean finish rather than sealing in existing swirls. If the paint has real swirl marks and scratches to remove first, that is paint correction, and it happens before any coating goes on.
The Walk-Back And The Reveal
The last thing that happens is the first thing again: a walk around the finished vehicle, together. Anything that is not right gets fixed before the van leaves — that is the deal, and it is a far easier promise to keep when the shop is standing in your driveway rather than across the city.
Then the balance is settled on the day, once the work is done, and your vehicle is exactly where you parked it. No pickup, no ride home, no afternoon written off in a waiting room.

Three Tiers, And What Honestly Separates Them
Every tier is bookable as Interior only, Exterior only, or a Full Detail combining both, so the number you pay is the work you asked for. The difference between the tiers is not effort — it is how much restoration and protection is included on top of the clean.

Express Full $299 → Executive Full $499- Paint decontamination
- Clay bar treatment
- Ceramic sealant on the paint
- Water spot removal
- Exterior trim dressing
- Hot-steam seat & mat cleanse
- Fabric shampoo & extraction
- Salt stain removal
- Interior vinyl & trim protection
Those nine items are the honest answer to why one appointment costs $299 and the next one $499. Bought individually as add-ons on an Express booking, the interior four alone list at $75, $100, $125 and $30. The Ultimate Package takes the same logic to its end: it includes over $1,265 of add-ons outright.

Express bookings start at a $99 deposit and Executive at $125, rising by half the cost of your add-ons once a booking passes $400. The Ultimate Package is $400, and paint correction, ceramic coating, boats and RVs take 50%. The deposit comes off your total rather than being charged on top, and the balance is due on the day once the work is done. Full terms are on the Payment & Cancellation Policy.
Build It Out
Add-Ons, And The Ones You Do Not Have To Buy
Add-ons are priced individually on the booking page, and the calculator only shows the ones relevant to what you picked — no interior add-on can be sold onto an exterior-only job. Several are already included once you reach Executive, and bug splatter removal and tree sap and resin removal are included on every exterior job at no charge, because driving with a blocked windshield is a safety problem rather than an upsell.
Interior
- Steam Cleaning
- Shampoo & Extraction
- Pet Hair Removal
- Odor / Ozone Treatment
- Salt Stain Removal
- Interior Trim Dressing
- Full Interior Ceramic Sealant
- Biohazard Removal
Exterior
- Headlight Restoration
- Trim Restoration (Back to Black)
- Bug Splatter Removal
- Tree Sap & Resin Removal
- Cowl & Drainage Clearing
- Full Glass Hydrophobic Bundle
- Convertible Roof Ceramic Coating
Not sure which of these your vehicle actually needs? There is a “let the technician decide” option on the booking form. The technician assesses the vehicle on arrival and confirms anything extra with you before starting it — nothing is added silently. Biohazard removal is subject to inspection and honest disclosure at booking.
Not Just Cars
Boats And RVs
The same van, the same mobile setup, at the marina lot or wherever the rig is parked.
Boats
We detail boats inside and out: cockpit, seating areas, bow, gunwale, hull, rail, cleats, stern, transom, chines, freeboard, steering console, windshield and floors. Exterior work, correction and coating are always performed with the boat on land, never docked or in the water. Outboard motor and propeller detailing does require the boat to be docked. Washrooms, kitchenettes and cabins are not included.
Pricing depends on size and condition, so boats are quoted rather than booked from a list — call, text or email and we will give you a number.

RV exteriors are booked online by the foot, measured bumper to bumper, with a 20-foot minimum on all four packages. Shorter rigs are welcome and are simply billed as 20 feet — the drive, the setup and the pack-down do not get cheaper below that. RV interior detailing is not offered; exterior only.
Where We Work
Mobile Detailing Across Toronto And The GTA
Top Drive Detailing is based in North York and fully mobile across the Greater Toronto Area. The further out an address is, the more travel time the job costs us, and that is the only reason a distance and fuel fee exists. The zones are drawn around how long a trip actually takes — on and off ramps, traffic, speed limits — rather than around municipal boundaries, so the fee is worked out from your address when you book and shown before you pay.
Area pages with local detail: Toronto, Mississauga, Vaughan, Markham and Scarborough. The full list of cities we cover is on the service area map. Running more than one vehicle? Fleet and bulk detailing is quoted separately.
Straight Answers
Mobile Detailing FAQ
How much does mobile auto detailing cost in Toronto?
Mobile auto detailing at Top Drive Detailing starts at $159 for an Express Exterior and $299 for an Express Full Detail. The Executive Full Detail is $499, and The Ultimate Package is $899. Paint correction runs from $999 to $1,399 and ceramic coating from $1,499 to $1,899. Larger vehicles carry a size surcharge, shown before you pay.
Do I need to provide water and power for a mobile detail?
Yes. We need an outdoor water tap and a working electrical outlet within about 75 feet of where the vehicle is parked, and we bring absolutely everything else. You confirm both when you book. The one exception is headlight restoration, which is sanding and polishing and needs neither.
How long does a mobile detail take?
An Express Exterior takes about 45 minutes to an hour. An Express Interior runs one to two hours, and an Express Full Detail two and a half to four hours. An Executive Full Detail takes up to four hours. The Ultimate Package is a full-day appointment.
What is the difference between Express and Executive detailing?
Express is a thorough clean; Executive is a clean plus restoration and protection. On the outside, Executive adds paint decontamination, a clay bar treatment, water spot removal and a ceramic sealant. On the inside, it adds hot-steam seat and mat cleansing, fabric shampoo and extraction, salt stain removal and interior trim protection.
Where can you detail my vehicle?
Anywhere the vehicle can be legally and safely parked with a tap and an outlet within about 75 feet — your driveway, your workplace parking spot, a condo visitor space or a marina lot. We are fully mobile across the Greater Toronto Area and there is no shop to drop the vehicle off at.
Is there a travel charge to come to my address?
There is no travel charge inside the GTA free zone. Beyond it a distance and fuel fee applies — $49 in the Extended Area, $99 for Further Cities and $129 for South Lake Simcoe. The fee is worked out from your address and shown on your quote before you pay anything.
What deposit is required to book a detail?
Express bookings start at a $99 deposit and Executive at $125. Once a booking passes $400 the deposit adds half the cost of your add-ons. The Ultimate Package is $400, and paint correction, ceramic coating, boats and RVs take 50%. Any travel fee is collected with it. The exact figure is shown before you pay, it comes off your total rather than being charged on top, and it locks the slot on the calendar immediately.
Will a detail remove scratches and swirl marks?
No. A detail cleans, decontaminates and protects paint, but it does not cut defects out of it. Removing swirl marks and scratches is paint correction, which machine-polishes the clear coat: a 1-Step removes roughly 60 to 70 percent of defects and a 2-Step removes roughly 85 to 95 percent. Neither can repair damage that has gone through the clear coat.
Do you detail trucks, SUVs, boats and RVs?
Yes. Coupes, sedans and small-to-midsize SUVs are the base price; large SUVs, minivans and trucks carry a size surcharge that is shown on your quote before you pay. RV exteriors are booked online by the foot with a 20-foot minimum, from $26 per foot. Boats are detailed inside and out and quoted by size and condition.
Which detailing package should I book?
Book Express if the vehicle is already in decent shape and you want it clean. Book Executive if it has not been detailed in a year or more, or if you want protection that lasts past the next few washes. Book The Ultimate Package if the vehicle needs everything — it includes every add-on except biohazard removal.
