Three things decide whether we can work at your parking spot, and none of them is the name of your building. We are not going to pretend otherwise or invent a workaround on the morning — a full detail in a car park with no water is not a booking we want, and it is not one you want either.

1. A water tap and an electrical outlet, within about 75 feet

This is the same requirement we have at every address in the city, and it is the one that decides most downtown jobs. Everything else comes out of the van — the extractor, the steamer, the orbital polishers, the chemistry, the towels — but the water and the power come from the site. Some residential garages have a service tap and an outlet near a wash bay or a loading area; plenty have neither anywhere a resident can reach. It is worth walking down and looking before you book, because it is the single fact that settles the appointment. If your building has a wash bay, that is very often the answer, since it is the one spot down there designed to have water and a drain.

2. Clearance at the ramp

Every garage entrance carries a posted clearance, and it varies from building to building. Find yours, and put the number in the parking notes when you book. If the van clears it we come to the car; if it does not, that is not a cancelled appointment, it is a different meeting point — a surface or visitor space above ground, or another address entirely. Either way, that gets decided in a booking form rather than by a van stopped at the top of a ramp.

3. What your building actually allows

Some condo corporations do not permit vehicle washing in the garage outside a designated bay, usually because of where the floor drains lead. Some want a service vehicle signed in at the desk, or given notice. We cannot answer that for your building and we would be making it up if we tried — it is a short email to your property manager, and it is far better sent before a deposit than after one. If the answer is no, the options in the next section still stand.

The one service that works in any garage

Headlight restoration needs no water and no power. It is sanding and polishing, and it can be done in any spot where the car is legally parked, on any level, with no hookups at all — $180 for one lens, $240 for both, $400 for both plus the tail lights. On a downtown car that spends its life under a building, it is often the only thing that genuinely has to be done, because the paint is not weathering the way a street-parked car’s does.

If the garage is a no

The fix is almost always geography, and downtown geography is cheap for you because there is no travel fee anywhere in the free zone. A visitor or surface space at your own building, a workplace lot with an exterior tap, a relative’s driveway in the east or west end — all of them price identically to your own address. Moving the car ten minutes costs you nothing but the ten minutes.

The Travel and Fuel Fee Downtown Is $0

Interior Car Detailing Downtown

A garaged downtown car usually has less to answer for on the outside than a street-parked one and more to answer for on the inside. The mileage is low, the trips are short, and the car mostly carries people rather than cargo — which is exactly the pattern that leaves ground-in dirt in the driver’s seat and the front carpets while the rest of the interior looks untouched. Winter adds the other one: salt comes in on boots and dries into a chalky white bloom that works its way down into the fibres.

Executive Interior at $399 is where the restoration work starts — hot steam through the seats and mats, a fabric shampoo and extraction that pulls ground-in dirt back out of the fibres instead of pushing it deeper, interior trim protection, and salt stain removal. For a car being handed back at the end of a lease, The Ultimate Package at $899 is the full day: headliner steamed and extracted, seats lifted so the carpet underneath is cleaned rather than vacuumed around, every add-on except biohazard removal included.

Exterior Detailing, Paint Correction and Ceramic Coating Downtown

Exterior detailing runs the same two tiers as everywhere else. Express Exterior at $159 is a hand wash of the body, wheels, tyres and glass. Executive Exterior at $249 adds paint decontamination, a clay bar treatment, water spot removal and a ceramic sealant. Booked with the matching interior, a full car detail downtown is $299 at the Express tier and $499 at the Executive.

Paint correction and ceramic coating are both available downtown, and there is one respect in which a condo is genuinely the better address for a coating: it needs a dry, undisturbed cure, typically 24 to 48 hours out of the rain and longer before the first wash, and a covered parking spot is precisely that. What still has to work is the application — the same tap, outlet and clearance as any other job. The struck-through figures are the prices this site advertised from launch until the sale began, not numbers chosen to flatter a discount, and final correction and coating pricing is confirmed after the technician inspects the paint on site. Coupes, sedans and small-to-midsize SUVs pay the price shown; large SUVs, minivans and trucks carry a size surcharge, shown on your quote before you pay.
