What brings most people here to a mobile detailer, though, is not city grime. It is gravel.

Interior Car Detailing in Erin

A couple of kilometres of unpaved road twice a day does something specific to an interior. Fine dust settles into the seat fabric and the carpet pile and does not vacuum out at a gas station; it works into the vents, the seat rails and the seams of the door cards, and it comes back every time you open a window. Add the grit that walks in on boots in March and a dog that rides in the back, and the inside of the car ages faster than the outside does.

That is why interior detailing leads on this page rather than trailing it. Express Interior is $199 and Executive Interior is $399, and the difference is depth — how far into the seams, the rails and the headliner the work goes. Both are done in your driveway with the doors open, which is genuinely better for an interior than a bay with a queue behind it.

Exterior Detailing, Stone Chips and Dust Film

The outside takes it differently. Gravel thrown up by your own tyres and by everything coming the other way chips the lower doors, the rocker panels and the front valance, and the dust settles into a film that dulls the paint long before anything has actually damaged it. An Express Exterior at $159 or an Executive Exterior at $249 resets that. If the paint has gone flat rather than marked, a machine polish at $999 brings the gloss back without cutting into anything; genuine swirls and scratches are paint correction work, starting at $1,199 for a 1-step and $1,399 for a 2-step. A ceramic coating is the one thing that actually helps with the dust. It does not stop stone chips — nothing does — but it makes a dusty car far easier to rinse clean and keeps the film from bonding. Tiers run $1,499, $1,699 and $1,899 for three, five and eight years, each including an Executive Exterior and a 1-step correction and polish first. Most Erin bookings end up here, because the two problems above are the same car. A full detail does the inside and the outside on the same visit and costs less than booking them separately.

Trailers, Boats and RVs

Plenty of Erin properties store something bigger than a car. Boat detailing is performed on land only — on the trailer in the yard or up on blocks, never in the water — from $300 for the interior or the exterior, $550 for both, with correction and ceramic coating from $1,599 quoted on size and condition. RV detailing is exterior only and priced by the foot: $26/ft Express, $38/ft Executive, $80/ft Signature and $190/ft for professional ceramic coating, each with a 20-foot minimum.

What the Visit Needs

An outdoor tap and a working outlet within about 75 feet of the parked vehicle, and enough room to walk around it with the doors open. We bring everything else. Headlight restoration is the exception that needs neither — $180 for one light, $240 for both, $400 including tail lights — which makes it easy to add to any booking, or to do on its own.
