Wasaga Beach is one of the longest runs on our map, well north of our North York base. Each visit carries a flat travel and fuel fee for the town, worked out from your street address as you book and collected with your deposit. It is charged once per visit, however many vehicles we detail, and you see it before you pay.
A Mobile Detail That Comes Up to the Bay
We bring the whole setup to the address you give us — a year-round house off Mosley Street, a cottage you open each spring, or a rental if the owner agrees. There is no shop, no key drop and no waiting area; you head to the beach and the car stays put.
Because the drive is long, we will say it plainly: one quick exterior is a lot of highway for a small job. A full detail, a correction, a coating or two vehicles back to back makes better use of the trip, and a second vehicle in the same visit is discounted on the booking form.
Where in Wasaga Beach We Work, East End to West End
The beach runs more than 14 kilometres along the southern end of Nottawasaga Bay, with the Nottawasaga River winding behind much of the sand, and the town grew by absorbing the beach settlements around it. The fee is the same in all of them; only the parking differs.
Downtown and the Main End. Main Street and Beach Drive, at Beach Area 1, were the original tourist strip of shops and visitor lodging, and the town is redeveloping it. If you live in a unit here, ask the building where a car can sit for a few hours.
Mosley Village. The old business district on Mosley Street, around 18th to 22nd Streets, mixes homes, storefronts and tourist lodging on small parcels. Tell us if the car is in a shared lot.
The cottage side streets. Most of the town’s cottages sit back from the water on closely spaced side streets, mostly between Mosley Street and the bay. Lots are tight and the outside tap may be on the far side, so pace out the distance before you confirm it.
Schoonertown, Oakview Beach and Springhurst Beach. Schoonertown sits at the bridge where River Road West crosses the river to meet Mosley Street, between Beach Areas 4 and 5. Oakview Beach, annexed in 1966, and Springhurst Beach, added in 1974, carry the homes on toward the western beaches.
Brock’s Beach. The far west end along Beachwood Road, the old Highway 26, past the last provincial beach area, where some shoreline is privately owned.
Along the Nottawasaga. On Oxbow Park Drive, 32nd Street South and Knox Road East the river is close at hand, and a boat on its trailer beside the house can share the visit with the car.
Allenwood Beach and New Wasaga Beach. The quieter east end past the river mouth, reached by River Road East, with dune vegetation along the shore at New Wasaga.
Stonebridge, Sunnidale Trails and the west end. Stonebridge and Sunnidale Trails, the second laid out along Sunnidale Road, are where the town is growing, and the west end along Highway 26 has been in transition since the highway was realigned. In a new build, check the outdoor tap is connected.
How the Total Is Built Before You Pay
The booking form builds the total in the open: your package, the Wasaga Beach travel and fuel fee taken from your address, any add-ons, then HST. A deposit holds the date and comes off the total — a flat amount on an Express, an Executive or The Ultimate, and half the job on paint correction, ceramic coating, boat and RV work — and the travel fee goes through with it. The rest is paid on the day, once the work is finished. Cash, Interac e-Transfer and debit cost nothing extra; credit cards add 2.4%. Terms are on the payment policy page.
Choosing a Package for a Car That Lives Near the Sand
Six core packages — Express and Executive, each as an Exterior, an Interior or a Full Detail — sit beneath The Ultimate Package and Ultimate + Paint Polish & Buff. For a trip this long, these make the fullest use of the visit:
Express Full Detail
Executive Full Detail
The Ultimate Package
Ultimate + Paint Polish & Buff
Interior and exterior are priced separately, so a cabin full of beach sand can be booked on its own. The services page lists every inclusion, and the auto detailing page shows how the work runs.
Sun, Sand and Salt: Paint Correction and Ceramic Coating
Wind carries fine sand off the shore onto cars parked nearby, and wiping that film away with a dry cloth drags grit across the clear coat in small arcs. Add long afternoons in open beach lots and winter salt on Highway 26, and swirls build up fast. Paint correction polishes them out; a ceramic coating then leaves a slick, hard layer that sand and road film rinse off with far less rubbing.
Gloss back on paint that has gone flat rather than marked.
One polishing stage for the light swirling a sandy towel leaves; see the paint correction page.
Compound, then polish, for deeper marring.
Starts with an Executive Exterior and a 1-step correction and polish, so a corrected finish is what gets sealed.
Same preparation, longer-lasting coating.
The longest-rated tier; details on the ceramic coating page.
Bigger vehicles carry a size surcharge on correction and coating, worked out on the form before you pay.
Boats on the Trailer, RVs by the Foot, Motorcycles by Quote
Wasaga Beach has the bay in front, the river behind and a public boat launch at Beach Area 1. We detail boats on land only — on the trailer or up on blocks, never at a slip, on a mooring or afloat — so the windows are before launch and after haul-out. Each boat is quoted on size and condition, inside, outside or both; washrooms, kitchenettes and cabins are not included.
RVs are exterior only, priced by the foot with a 20-foot minimum, and booked online:
Hand wash from roof to skirt, black streaks lifted, wheels and trim cleaned.
Adds decontamination, sealant on paint and gelcoat, plus the rubber roof and awning.
Polishes out chalky oxidation from summers in the sun, then a long-life sealant.
A coating over the corrected finish to hold off UV; the longest job, plus cure time.
Motorcycles are quoted individually. Headlight restoration books online for one light, both, or all of them, and draws on no water or power. Running several work vehicles? See fleet services.
Getting the Property Ready Before We Arrive
We bring everything except two utilities: an outdoor tap that runs and a live electrical outlet, each no more than about 75 feet from the car’s parking spot, and you confirm both when you book. At a beach town, check them twice:
- A winterized cottage may still have its outside line drained and shut off; turn it on and run it first.
- Exterior outlets on older cottages are sometimes on a breaker switched off for winter, or a tripped GFCI; plug a lamp in the day before.
- On a tight lot, move the second car so every door can open fully.
- In a condo or rental, clear visitor parking and the tap with the manager or owner.
Headlight restoration is the exception: it needs neither.
Wasaga Beach Detailing Questions
How far is Wasaga Beach from you, and how is the trip charged?
It is one of our longest drives from North York. One flat travel and fuel fee covers the visit, priced from your address on the booking form, shown before you pay and collected with the deposit, however many vehicles we detail.
Can you come to a cottage we only use in summer?
Yes, if the outside tap is back on, an outlet is live within reach and there is room around the vehicle. We work 8 am to 8 pm, seven days a week, and the form shows which slots are open.
Will you detail my boat at the marina or in the water?
No. Boats are done on land only, on the trailer or on blocks, and quoted on size and condition. Washrooms, kitchenettes and cabins are not included.
Do you clean motorhome or trailer interiors?
No. RV work is exterior only, priced per foot with a 20-foot minimum, in four tiers that book online.
Does a ceramic coating make sense near the beach?
Yes. Sand rinses off a coated panel with far less rubbing, and rubbing is what starts swirls. Every tier — 3, 5 or 8 year — begins with an Executive Exterior and a 1-step correction and polish, and larger vehicles carry a size surcharge shown before you pay.
When is the balance due?
On the day, once the work is finished. Cash, Interac e-Transfer and debit carry no surcharge; credit cards carry 2.4%.
