Mobile Car Detailing in Collingwood

Detailing at your own address in Collingwood — from the brick bungalows of the Tree Streets off Hurontario Street to the condos at Cranberry and the shoreline homes of Lighthouse Point on Nottawasaga Bay.

Collingwood sits at the far edge of our map: we set out from North York, and the drive up to Nottawasaga Bay is one of the longest we make. Every visit here carries a flat travel and fuel fee — one fee per visit rather than per car, worked out from your street address on the booking form and taken with your deposit, so nothing new appears when we arrive.

A Mobile Detail at Your Collingwood Address

There is no Collingwood shop to leave your keys at. We drive to the address you book and do the whole job where the vehicle is parked — a driveway off Mountain Road, a townhouse lot near the harbour, a condo you have taken for the ski season.

Because the trip is long, we would rather be straight with you: a quick exterior wash on its own is a lot of highway for a small job. The visit pays off best with more work in it — a full detail, a correction or a coating, or two vehicles back to back. A second vehicle in the same visit is discounted, and the form shows it before you pay.

From the Harbour to Poplar Sideroad: Where We Work

The town runs along Nottawasaga Bay at the southern tip of Georgian Bay, with Blue Mountain, a promontory of the Niagara Escarpment, rising to the west, and the Pretty River and Black Ash Creek crossing town to the water. The whole town is on one flat fee.

Downtown and the Heritage Conservation District. Hurontario Street is wider than a standard town street, lined with brick storefronts of roughly 1880 to 1910 from about Sixth Street to the harbour. Parking is the question here: a condo near Hume Street or a flat above a shop sets its own rules on visitor spots and outlets.

The Tree Streets. Detached brick bungalows a short walk from the bay, under old shade trees that drop sap, pollen and leaves on whatever is parked beneath them.

The Shipyards. Townhomes on the waterfront where the Collingwood Shipyards opened in 1883, near the grain terminals that worked from 1929 to 1993. Check the condo corporation’s rules on washing vehicles first.

Pretty River, Mountaincroft and Georgian Meadows. Planned subdivisions of newer homes — Pretty River at Hurontario Street and Poplar Sideroad, Mountaincroft at High Street and Poplar Sideroad, and Georgian Meadows, built between 2001 and 2014. A private driveway at a house like these is usually the simplest setup in town.

Cranberry and Silver Glen. On the west side off Highway 26, Cranberry’s condo and townhouse clusters sit around the golf course, with Silver Glen Preserve’s townhomes and attached bungalows along its edge. Taps and visitor parking are shared, so ask the property manager first.

Lighthouse Point and Blue Shores. Lighthouse Point is a gated community along more than a mile of Georgian Bay shoreline, so tell us how the gate works. Blue Shores has its own private marina, and a boat kept there has to be out of the water, on a trailer or blocks, before we can detail it.

What Goes Into a Collingwood Quote

The booking form adds it up in front of you: the package, the Collingwood travel and fuel fee, any add-ons and HST, shown as one total before anything is charged. The fee is flat for the visit and priced from the address you enter.

A deposit holds the date and comes off that total — a flat amount on an Express, an Executive or The Ultimate, and half the job on paint correction, ceramic coating, boat and RV work. The travel fee is collected with it, and the remainder is paid on the day once the work is finished. Debit, cash and Interac e-Transfer add nothing; a credit card adds 2.4%. Read the payment policy for the full terms.

Packages You Can Book in Collingwood

Six core packages in two tiers, Express and Executive, each sold as an exterior, an interior or a full detail. Above them sit The Ultimate Package and Ultimate + Paint Polish & Buff.

Executive Interior

The Ultimate Package

After a winter of ski boots and salt on the mats, or a summer of beach days at Sunset Point, the interior is often what needs it most. What each package includes is on the services page, and how a detail is carried out is on the auto detailing page. For a business with several work vehicles, see fleet services.

Paint Correction and Coatings for a Four-Season Town

Collingwood paint has a hard year: road salt on First Street, Huron Street and County Road 124 all winter, skis and roof boxes loaded over the roof, then long summer days by the bay. What that tends to leave is fine swirling and dull patches rather than deep damage — correction territory. A coating afterwards gives salt film and road grime less to grip.

Machine Polish

Brings the gloss back to paint that has gone flat without being scratched.

1-Step Paint Correction

One machine stage that lifts much of the light swirling from winter washes and rack loading. The paint correction page explains each level.

2-Step Paint Correction

A compound stage, then a polish stage, for marring too deep for a single pass.

Ceramic Coating — 3 Year

Like every tier, it begins with an Executive Exterior and a 1-step correction and polish, so the coating seals a corrected finish instead of locking swirls in.

Ceramic Coating — 5 Year

A longer-lived layer for a car you plan to keep through several more Georgian Bay winters.

Ceramic Coating — 8 Year

The longest-rated tier. The ceramic coating page compares all three.

A larger vehicle, such as a full-size SUV or a pickup, carries a size surcharge on correction and coating, calculated before you pay.

Boats, RVs and Motorcycles on the South Shore

Boats on Nottawasaga Bay come out for the winter. Once yours is on a trailer in the driveway or on blocks in the yard, we detail it there — on land only, never at a dock, in a slip or in the water. Each boat is quoted on size and condition, inside, outside or both; washrooms, kitchenettes and cabins are excluded.

RVs are exterior only, priced by the foot with a 20-foot minimum and booked online. We do not detail RV interiors.

RV Express Exterior

The starting tier: a hand wash and dry, roof to skirt.

RV Executive Detail & Protect

Adds decontamination and a sealant over the paint and gelcoat.

RV Signature Polish & Protect

Machine polishing ahead of the protection, for a finish starting to fade or chalk.

RV Professional Ceramic Coating

The top tier: the corrected exterior sealed under a professional ceramic coating.

Motorcycles are quoted individually. Headlight restoration books online for one light, a pair or every light, and needs no tap or outlet because it is sanding and polishing.

Before We Arrive: Water, Power and Room to Work

We bring the equipment and the products. You supply a tap outside and an electrical outlet that works, each no more than about 75 feet from where the vehicle will be parked, and you confirm both while booking.

Two local checks. Outdoor taps on seasonal homes and condos are often shut off for the cold months, so make sure yours is running. In a gated community or a condo complex, settle access and any rules on washing vehicles with the manager beforehand. Past that, leave room to swing every door fully open and walk a polisher around the car.

Collingwood Detailing Questions

How is a detail in Collingwood priced?

On the booking form: package, travel and fuel fee, add-ons and HST, totalled before you pay. Package contents are on the services page.

Why does Collingwood have a travel and fuel fee?

It is one of the longest runs we make from North York. The fee is flat per visit, priced from your address and collected with the deposit.

Is it worth booking a small job this far north?

You can book any package, but honestly the trip makes most sense for a fuller job — a full detail, a correction, a coating or two vehicles at once.

Can you detail my boat at the marina?

No. Boats are detailed on land only, on a trailer or on blocks, never docked or in the water. Once it is hauled out, we quote it on size and condition. Washrooms, kitchenettes and cabins are not included.

Do you come to Lighthouse Point, Cranberry and the Shipyards?

Yes, on the same flat fee as the rest of town. For a gated community or condo complex, tell us how access works.

What do I need to have ready on the day?

A working outdoor tap and an electrical outlet within roughly 75 feet of the parked vehicle, plus room to open the doors. Headlight restoration is the exception: it is sanding and polishing and needs neither.

Does a ceramic coating include paint correction?

Yes. The 3 year, 5 year and 8 year tiers all begin with an Executive Exterior and a 1-step paint correction and polish. Larger vehicles carry a size surcharge, shown before you pay.
